Frame in Focus: Stories in Motion

Welcome to my 2027 project dedicated to bringing books to visual life! When I designed the "Frames in Focus" theme, my goal was to bridge the gap between page and screen using television, movies, animated shorts, graphic novels, and YouTube read-alouds. Curating this collection was a massive undertaking that required creative problem-solving. For biographical entries, I looked beyond traditional film adaptations and creatively integrated historical video clips of the subjects themselves. Most months seamlessly blend these visual stories with the unique chosen monthly concept. The main exception is our June and July Summer Reading Program—"Dive into a Good Book"—which pauses the main theme for a splashy focus on oceans and water sports.

This project celebrates creativity and expression. While it took a lot of hard work, it brought me immense joy. Every program is free and open to all children, regardless of background.
